The U.S. Mission to the OAS hosted a reception in honor of Professor Alexandra Huneeus, U.S. Candidate for Commissioner on the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (2022-2025).  Professor Huneeus shared her vision with the 24 delegations in attendance, reiterating her commitment to make the Inter-American System as strong, rigorous, procedurally fair, efficient and impactful a system as possible; to shelter it from politics; and to broaden and deepen its reach – including much greater engagement with the Caribbean.  The election is Friday, November 12 at the OAS General Assembly. IACHR Reception Remarks (PDF 70KB)
